I was contacted by Ronald Machuca (founder of “Waves”) to join the production team for the Rock & Trance Festival, a massive three-day event, bringing together 25 Rock bands and 27 PsyTrance DJs, along with art exhibitions, installations, performances, workshops, and spiritual therapies in a place immersed in nature.
My main responsibility was to design the visual identity and official poster for the festival. So, during the creative meetings, the team emphasized the festival’s deeper mission: to raise awareness of who we are, to celebrate passion, freedom, and authenticity, and to nurture the human spirit through art, connection, and nature. The festival as a living experience of unity and awakening.
From that idea, I focused on the central question “what are we?” to create an invitation for each viewer to explore their own answer to that question, with humility, community, openness, and playfulness. I visualized this through the meeting of two human beings, whose genuine encounter takes off their masks and reveals a landscape of possibilities: an inner world that emerges when we dare to be vulnerable, when we connect deeply, and when we transform reality through that shared experience.
The illustration reflects the belief that we are always children before the vast mystery of existence, and that through the responsible work of love, we walk the unique path that life calls us to follow. This great threshold of connection is an open invitation for people to cross it, to truly meet one another at the festival, and to be authentically themselves.
